Luxury. Style. Glamour.
The perfect cocktail to this season’s highly acclaimed and always-on trend, Velvet!
This beautifully soft fabric is regularly spotted on modern royalty, and even more often seen on the red carpets of the most glamourous events across the globe. Velvet has been a top pick for Grooms this season, and this timeless choice of luxury fabric isn't going anywhere anytime soon.
Hollywood star Jared Leto has been parading velvet on the red-carpet premiere for the High fashion Film, “The House of Gucci”. He has been sporting a beautiful, soft-to-the-touch, rich aqua velvet suit on one occasion and a mustard full velvet suit on another.
The 007 enterprises saw velvet in all its glory on the man himself, Daniel Craig, and also spotted on Prince William at the Premiere.
It is an Old Hollywood style that represents a gentleman in the most prestigious of ways, so it is no wonder the sophistication of the fabric Velvet is being chosen by Grooms and rainbow brides from all over.
At Wil Valor, we usually recommend designing & styling your velvet jacket in one of two ways...
1. Choose any colour of velvet with a black satin lapel in either a shawl or peak. Style this with a pair of classic black trousers.
2. Alternatively, make the whole jacket (including the lapel) in the same velvet fabric. This way it can also be paired with the matching trousers for an iconic moment in time, and of course to stand out in the crowd.
Whichever way you decide to use velvet, it will add a touch of glamour to your wedding day, and bring a dash of history to your day of love.
